"OUTDOOR GOSPEL FEST"
Featuring: The St. Ailbe Adult Choir and Children's Choir

A Spirit-Filled Day With Our Wonderful Seniors

The Dove. As a Christian symbol it was frequently used in ancient ecclesiastical art. As a symbol of the Holy Spirit
it appears especially in representations of Our Lord symbolizing inspiration or rather Divine guidance. (Matthew 3: 16)

The audience applauded the beautiful singing
and wonderful Gospel  renditions.

On August 9, 2003,  The Choirs, Vocalists and instrumentalists combined to
present the praise of God in Gospel song to our Senior community. Due to the inclement weather, The Gospel Fest was held "Indoors", in the Senior Housing Building. It was a steamy hot, rainy day, the Choirs sang to the residents and community members.
The singers clapped in a rhythmic tempo and their
bodies swayed from left to right as their voices belted out some of the most
powerful gospel song's heard in a long time.
The St. Ailbe Choir's  are noted
for reaching souls  through song. This Blessed day they  traveled down ...way
down the road... that led to the spiritual "gospel highway of songs" past and
present.

Radiating rich clear vibrant sounds...

The melodious melodies from the St. Ailbe Choir makes one want to shout, worship, clap, dance, or just sing along. This was a such a wonderful expression of praising God shown through our music fellowship with the Seniors.

A drummer (Art Thompson, Musical Percussionist) in the corner started a low beat...
the electric organ (Director of Children's Choir Robert Murphy)  joined in...  and the St.
Ailbe Children's  Choir rose to their feet. The audience joined the singers...  clapping in
time...  The angels of St Ailbe lifted their voices...  in a wonderful high spirited Gospel
"Praise Song" to the Lord. The ultimate joy of this
experience for children is the sharing
of their developed talents through performing. We celebrate the spiritual growth of the
St. Ailbe Children's Choir. The Children’s Choir are
St. Ailbe's little musical ambassadors.
Under the musical direction of Robert Murphy, their popularity has grown to the point that
they have been invited to sing all over
the state

  Singing from
    the Heart!

St Ailbe Gospel Singers sang with bright  spirit and their God inspired voices
were a blessing to each listener. The beauty of their voices held the audience
(in this picture) for one moment in what appeared to be... "suspended spiritual thought". Afterward the audience gave a standing ovation.  The songs were
sung with such depth of tone and quality, that one almost felt, that some part
of each song, could reach out to someone ... and guide them to the feet of
Christ Our Sav
ior.

It was a memorable afternoon. The Choir sang good gospel music! There was
"go to church down home singing", from the beginning to end!  There were bright  bouncy new tunes, followed by "old time gospel sounds" along with slow spiritual gospel music that melted the soul.

Once you've experienced the Music
Ministry of St. Ailbe Choir  you will
understand why the power and drive
of their songs mesmerize audiences.

Director Patricia Pike did a superb job
of leading
St. Ailbe Choir on this day
as they spread the word in Gospel song and shared His Greatness with the Seniors.

Under direction, the Adult Choir elevated and moved their voices in song, as Assistant to the Director of Music, Darryl Petty demonstrated his joy and love for bringing life to the Gospel harmonies.

The audience
    applauded in unison

  and they clapped n      rhythm!

The songs were embraced by the audience, who were noticeably
moved by the melodies and words
of hope.

There were also many songs sang that touched the depth of one's soul...
Gospels... that... sporadically gave...
a  "spiritual feel - good,  head - nodding"
to the rhythm moments.

One of St Ailbe Choirs most outstanding gifts is their ability to blend their musical abilities together to create spiritually enriched songs
that minister to the masses. They have created a unique balance, which delivers a special harmony of traditional and contemporary gospel music.

The Gospel Music captivated the Young and the Seniors. Afterward there was a Banquet with a multitude of delicious refreshments for this feast special Thanks goes to our own Ila Brown.

We especially enjoyed spending this day with our wonderful seniors. Many of the Gospel songs we shared were reminiscent of the Past and inspiring for the future.

It is the sincere prayer of St Ailbe Church  that God would richly bless each and every individual who has been a part of
keeping our Gospel songs alive.
