AILBE WOMEN'S CLUB FASHION SHOW
St
Ailbe Women's Club each year traditionally
puts on this one-of-a-kind Fashion Show. Many may not know this but, the St Ailbe
Fashion Show is one of the most recognized and well
attended events on the Southside of
Chicago. This
Fashion Show draws over 500 people from
the surrounding Chicago communities. There
are always few in the audience from out of
state. This is a very successful standing-room-only event which has been dazzling
audiences for over 10 years now. Some people start asking for
tickets as early as the day after the
event.
This year St Ailbe parishioners were in fashion heaven as they spent a
Saturday afternoon at the Lexington House,
soaking up the latest styles and fashions.
A troop of gorgeous St Ailbe models still-posed,
strutted,
swayed, danced and
walked up, down and across a beautiful lighted and elegant T-shaped red carpeted runway, it was
an interesting and fun-filled afternoon.
The
array of colors were rich:
browns, reds, greens, blues,
touches of metallic, creamy pastels and
lilacs and occasional appearances of
yellow. Yellow is such an amazing color!
The patterns were great -- tangy colors,
zebra strips on black with firings
gracefully flapping with every swing of
the hip, and flowing separates. Every
outfit made a statement of its own. They
were dressy, casual and unique,
Magnifique! some leather
pieces and some sassy new
fashion garments. St Ailbe Fashion
Coordinators turned
this show into a very exciting,
electrifying live performance.
To add to the palette as we indulged in fashions, this event included a delicious dinner.
Clothes from "On the Nine'
Boutique were on display in the Lobby and
were available for viewing touching and...
purchasing.
For the second time this
show highlighted Jacqueline Jones
Fashions from her "On the Nine"
Boutique and the fabulous hats and
scarves from the Collection of Leontine
Brown.
St Ailbe Models are real troopers and they
are not camera shy. They like, the
professional models they are, love the flash
of the camera. Photographs were taken by
many and we appreciate all of the pictures
we are receiving. Special Thanks to
all of the Photographers who attended this
St Ailbe Fashion Show.
Unfortunately we
don't have the space to show
all of the beautiful pictures on this web page and you may call the rectory to
arrange to see a clear view of the
pictures on this site..
