Music Ministry: The
Choirs, Vocalists and instrumentalists
combine to enhance the liturgical experience
of our community.
St. Ailbe's has musical ensembles from
children's choirs to adults
and from
organists to drummers to Praise Dancers.
Singing in the Church is an
outward expression of
ones faith and joy.
It is a response to God's saving work and
finds expression in humble, disciplined participation in the Church Choirs.
It
is indeed a joy to hear St Ailbe Choirs
sing. Their voices ring out
beautiful uplifting and
encouraging songs to the LORD. Both
adults
and children raise their voices and hearts
to God in praise through a
varied
selection of music.
Their enthusiasm and high spirited singing is contagious. Over
the last few years, St. Ailbe Choirs have
recorded
several CD's
and tapes.
Singing
and dancing are acts which have united God's people
at all
times in history for the common praise of
God.
Expectations: All singers who wish to raise their voices in
praise
of GOD. Praise dancers ages 8-14
Meeting Time: (Men and women) are welcome to
join the rehearsal on Tuesday at 7:00 PM in the
Kuumba Room.
The Adult Choir sings weekly at 8AM
and 11Am Masses
The Children's Choir rehearsals and
performances are scheduled by
Director Robert Murphy
Meeting Time: Praise Dancers
rehearsals and performances will
are
scheduled by Dance Instructors.

the vision of the Director of Music
Patricia Pike the First Performance
of theSt Ailbe Praise Dancers was Sunday,
July 20, 2003. Only a
"Miracle" could have set
these young ladies in such splendid motion. They gracefully moved
in synchronized rhythm as they gave
their spirited praise to the Lord.
Psalm 149: 3"Let them
praise his name in festive dance,
make music with tambourine and
lyre." |
