  INDEX TO MINISTRIES

Foundation Scripture:

         Luke 9:1-2,6
"When Jesus had called the twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all the demons and cure diseases, and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. So they set out and went from village to village, preaching the gospel and healing people everywhere."

Mission Statement: The St Ailbe Health Wellness Ministry
is a Ministry following God's intent for harmony and wholeness
within creation, which will reach out and provide support,
education, screening and care to the members of the Church
community and the surrounding neighborhood community.

Health -Wellness Ministry:
This Ministry focuses on the challenge
of providing a health Ministry from a wellness and wholeness perspective,
or health promotion. Instead of asking only, "What makes people sick
and how can we provide a healing ministry to save or heal them?" we
need to also ask , What keeps people well and how can we provide a
whole person health ministry that will keep them that way?" We preach
and teach the message of the interconnectedness of faith with health
healing and wholeness in the Bible to help people achieve the fullness of
a life spiritually transformed by the love and power of God. The goals we
plan to reach are:

  • to improve the health of all parishioners through an established
health ministry that focuses on wholeness for body, mind and
    spirit.

  • to help reduce heal disparities by encouraging our members to
participate in early detection, education classes, health fairs,
disease prevention programs and health screening programs.

  • to increase quality of life and years of healthy living by assisting
our members to understand health and wellness issues.
