MARK 10:
13-16
And people were bringing
children to him that he might touch them, but the disciples
rebuked them...
When Jesus saw this he became
indignant and said to them, "Let the children come to
me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to
such as these...
Amen, I say to you, whoever
does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not
enter it."
Then he embraced them and
blessed them, placing his hands on them. |

A drummer (Art Thompson,
Musical Percussionist) in the corner started a low
beat... the electric organ (Director
of Children's Choir Robert Murphy)
joined in... and the St. Ailbe
Children's Choir rose to their feet.
The audience joined the singers... clapping
in time... The angels of St Ailbe lifted
their voices... in a wonderful high spirited
Gospel "Praise Song" to the Lord. The
ultimate joy of this experience
for children is the sharing of their
developed talents through performing.
"Learn
From the Best" (St Ailbe Motto)
Mr. Robert Murphy (formerly of the Staple Singers)
is an advocate for young musicians with an almost
unbelievable persona. He renders his musical
style with a humble sincerity and flawless
virtuosity... in other words he is just about the
most talented Choral Director and Band
Instructor on the Southside. He has established
a musical bond of rhythm and singing, that has
proven to be the foundation for a natural
part of personal development and growth for
St Ailbe students.
We celebrate the spiritual growth of the St. Ailbe Children's Choir. The
Children’s Choir are St.
Ailbe's little musical
ambassadors. Under the musical
direction of Robert Murphy, their popularity has
grown to the point that they have been
invited to sing all over the
state.

Singing in the Church is an outward expression
of ones faith and joy. It is a response to God's saving work and finds
expression in humble, disciplined participation in the Church choirs.
It is indeed a joy to hear St Ailbe Choirs sing. Their voices ring
out beautiful uplifting and encouraging songs to the LORD. Both
adults and children raise their voices and hearts to God in praise
through a varied selection of music. Their enthusiasm and high spirited
singing is contagious. Over
the last few years, St. Ailbe Choirs have recorded several CD's and tapes.
The parish family and community of St. Ailbe is strengthened
by the
participation of our younger members.

The
Dove As a Christian symbol was very frequently used in
ancient ecclesiastical art. As a symbol of the Holy Spirit it
appears especially in representations of Our Lord symbolizing
inspiration or rather Divine guidance. (Matthew 3: 16)Matthew
3: 16 “After Jesus was baptized, he came up from the water
and behold, the heavens were opened (for him), and he saw the
Spirit of God descending like a dove (and) coming upon him”
