1 Timothy 5:13, 16

“Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Watch your life and doctrine closely.  Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.”

ST. AILBE CHRISTIAN BOOK CLUB
LEADERS: Kathryn F. Worthen, Chairman

                Ruby Jackson, Assistant Chairman

The St. Ailbe Christian Book Club meet monthly to pray,
reflect and discuss Christian books and the Bible. This
process enables members to "Taste and See The Goodness
of The Lord" and achieve a more abundant life in Christ.
The spiritual strength and direction obtained in meetings
are applied to life challenges, Church Ministries and other
Callings.

Expectations:
Members are expected to read the
monthly assignment prior to the meeting.  One book is
usually discussed each quarter.  This is intended to
give adequate attention to prayer and reflection on the
reading. We welcome anyone who desires a closer
relationship with Christ.

The St. Ailbe Christian Book Club will invite
Christ into our hearts  and we will learn what
we must do to follow Him as we read and discuss
Romans.

IF YOU HAVE NOT ATTENDED A BOOK CLUB MEETING, NOW IS THE TIME.  PLEASE JOIN US FOR AN EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NOT REGRET.

 WHY IT'S HARD
TO LOVE JESUS

   by Joseph M. Stowell

RACING
   ACROSS THE LINES

by Deborah L. Plummer
Holy Scripture teaches us to “love our neighbor as we love ourselves”.  We often forget that our neighbors are not only persons who live next door.  They extend across town, across the country and around the world.  Yes, even persons of other races.  In this book, Dr. Plummer supports us in examining our friendship patterns and their connection to our spiritual life.

 GOD IS MORE THAN ENOUGH

by Dr. Tony Evans

This book is based on Psalm 23, which is one of the most poetic and evocative passages ever written either inside or outside the Boble. Its depth goes far beyond our imagination.
