Holy Rosary Shared - Project Ministry

Mission Statement: We accept the gospel call of Jesus to make Him known to the world, and to continue His mission because we are members of His Body.  It is the mission of the St. Ailbe/Holy Rosary Ministry to:

  • Bring the church into the community through Christian love, fellowship, and service.

  • Reach out to the larger community as stewards of love.

  • Exemplify Christian principles by living our faith

  • Evangelize and catechize with Holy Rosary Church Outreach Ministry

Holy Rosary Shared - Project  Ministry

The St. Ailbe Holy Rosary Ministry is the result of coordinated efforts between the two churches to provide assistance to those less advantaged in the Roseland/Pullman community through the Holy Rosary Food Cafe and the Holy Rosary Food Pantry.

Ministry Expectations of Members:   No training is needed. Just a willing heart and love for the unique qualities found in all of God's people.

Meeting Time: There are no specified meeting dates or times.

Dear Father John,

I want to thank your parish for the very generous sharing you do with our parish.  I sincerely appreciate all your support and prayers you offer our ministry.  Your support of our food pantry has been unbelievable.  Each week, we have been able to depend upon that delivery that fills our shelves.  Thank you.

The summer of transition here at Holy Rosary has worked well thus far.  In the next few weeks we are expecting news of long range plans for our future.  We promise to keep you informed of the results and hope you will continue your love and support for our ministry.

Last Sunday, Sharing Parish Day was a very special day for us.  Our parishioners were very excited about the Mass at Old St. Patrick's and the dinner we hosted for our sharing parishes afterwards.  We were grateful for the participation from our sharing parishes.  We unveiled new banners that will hang in our parish hall dedicated to each of our sharing parishes, reminding our parishioners of our relationships.  It was such a great moment of pride for us, that our parishioners would like to do it again next year (1st Sunday of October), so please make note of it in your calendars and we promise to keep you informed.

Please be assured of our grateful prayers for you and your parishioners.  If there is anything I can do to farther our relationship please call on me.

Peace+

ST. AILBE
MINISTRIES

December 2002
Reflections from Pastor

A call was sent out to St. Ailbe parishioners from Holy Rosary Parish (and still is being sent out) that hungry men, women, and children  needed food to survive. Our new sister parish, Holy Rosary (113 & King Drive), is now better able to assist hundreds of hungry  people because of the generosity that the people  of St. Ailbe Church bring forth. Immeasurable joy came to the faces of many, whether it was due to the donation of hundreds of non-perishable food items or helping with the Monday night dinner. All the  people were fed. The hundreds of coats that were donated have helped wrap people in warmth. The toys that were bestowed on the children were joyously appreciated and the personal body supplies helped hundreds to maintain a sense of dignity. The list can go on and on.
